MEET OUR Licensed Insurance Agent

Julie Hamilton, RN

I grew up in Ft. Oglethorpe and have proudly called Chattanooga home for most of my life. As a teen mom, I overcame obstacles to finish high school, earn an academic scholarship, and graduate from UTC with a B.S.N. For over two decades, I’ve been a proud member of the Chattanooga medical community. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I served as a frontline nurse caring for critically ill patients—a demanding period inspired me to seek a new path. Along my journey, I have been fortunate to discover a new passion as an insurance agent with Money Mavens, where I now use my medical expertise and compassion to guide others through the complexities of Medicare planning. In this new chapter, I’m committed to bringing the same care and dedication from my healthcare career into helping others confidently navigate their Medicare options.

Important enrollment Dates

You can enroll in Medicare starting three months before you turn 65, during your birth month, and up to three months after. This seven-month period is known as your Initial Enrollment Period. If you miss this window, you may have to wait for the General Enrollment Period from January 1 to March 31 each year, with coverage beginning the following month. The annual enrollment period takes place from October 15 to December 7 each year. During this time, beneficiaries can enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan, Medigap Plan, or Part D Plan, switch, or drop their prescription drug coverage.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent 3 organizations which offer 344 products in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options.

WHAT IS MEDICARE?

A pathway to better health outcomes

Our licensed insurance agents can help you find the essential coverage for healthcare needs, allowing you to focus on your health and well-being rather than financial concerns. With a range of plans tailored to individual circumstances, these solutions can help manage out-of-pocket expenses and ensure access to necessary medical services. Our team can help you navigate the complexities of healthcare coverage to select the appropriate plan, allowing you to enjoy your golden years with peace of mind.

MEDICARE PART A

Medicare Part A primarily covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and some home health services. It can help with the costs related to hospital services, including semi-private rooms, meals, and necessary medical supplies during a stay.

Medicare supplement insurance

Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans, also known as Medigap, can help cover out-of-pocket costs that Original Medicare doesn't fully pay, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. Available to those enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B, Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans vary in coverage and can provide financial peace of mind by reducing medical expenses.

MEDICARE PART B

Medicare Part B covers a range of medical necessities, including doctor visits, screenings, vaccinations, lab tests, and mental health care. It can also include some ambulance services and durable medical equipment.

MEDICARE PART C Medicare Advantage

Medicare Part C, also known as Medicare Advantage, is a bundled plan that can include coverage from both Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance). It often offers additional benefits such as prescription drug coverage (Part D). Medicare Advantage plans are provided by private insurance companies approved by Medicare.

MEDICARE PART D Prescription Drug Plan

Medicare Part D prescription drug plans can provide prescription drug coverage to individuals enrolled in Medicare. Beneficiaries can choose from various plans that may cover different medications, with costs including monthly premiums, deductibles, and co-pays.
